Environment Adaptations

Eric | April 29th, 2008 at 2:06 am

Environmental adaptations is something that animals have been doing since the beginning of their existence, we as humans are no exception. We are perfectly evolved to live and thrive on this planet, we have evolved to to flourish on a planet of seemingly limitless resources. However, to narrow the focus, I wish to embellish upon the internal adaptations we make to adjust to our new environment. Lifetimes are spent learning, growing and adapting, we are essentially products of our experiences influenced by our environment.

How much you are willing to adapt or adjust, to me, is a matter of personality. Some of us embrace change, take risks, enjoy spontaneousness and relish in new experiences. Many others are quite content with life as it stands, there are people who live their entire lives from one perspective. The ability to adapt is clearly correlated to how much practice you’ve had doing it. By deliberately placing yourself in rapid and repeatedly changing environments, you are training and enhancing your mind to be accepting of new things. It is this original awareness (acute observation) of things that forces you to understand the world, of course everyone’s observations are subjective, making infinite possibilities for interpretation (-;

Drawing on this, I would make a claim that ability to adapt is directly related to ability to succeed, especially in a world of relative infinite abundance. The more you break the chain of consistency and familiarity, the more you consciously place yourself in new situations, the better capable you are to embrace everything the world has to offer. I think for many of us, once you start “riding the adaptation wave”, you won’t want to get off! There is more than enough for everyone (The Law of Attraction), that is what makes life so rich and wonderful!

I have been doing a lot of reading on the topics mentioned in this blog as well as other personal development materials. My writings reflect my interpretation, please do not hesitate to comment, I would simply love to discuss it further!
