Spring break in Poland

Rebecca | April 10th, 2008

On Wednesday I headed to Kraków, Poland, with 7 other study abroad friends.
Typically when I travel I try to stay with locals and basically shadow them for a couple days. But, I will openly admit, I was a complete tourist in Kraków. There is no hiding it. I stayed in a hostel, went to restaurants with English menus, and walked around the city with a map. I even bought a souvenir! GASP! What has gotten into me?!

Here is my favorite, I’m such a tourist picture:
Notice the cheesy smile and peace sign.

Other highlights were thrift store shopping, eating tons of kabobs and perogies, and admiring all of the “give money and watch me act funny” people catering to tourists in the city center. This guy was my favorite. He was a gargoyle type but when you put money in the can he scared everyone! Look at the terror in this girls face!
