My new home

On the up-side of things, my living situation couldn?t be better. I have an apartment with four local students in a two bedroom apartment, fully equipped with furniture and kitchen utensils. It is the nicest place I have ever lived in, and the whole shebang is costing me merely 100 USD a month, utilities included.

I fell in love with the place as soon as my roommates and I took a tour. The high ceilings, huge bathtub, and brightly colored walls had me from the start. When I walked from room to room during the tour I looked like a kid in the toy aisle in WalMart, ?Whoa! This is soooo cooooool! Can we please keep it??

Each day I seem to find something else that I like about the place. Today?s addition was the feeling of empowerment I get when I leave my apartment.

When you leave our apartment and return to the apartment complex to first pass pots of flowers and walk down a stairwell. (Duh, the dream apartment always has an elegant stairwell with flowers.) The last door to exit into the real world is the massive, old wooden one, which leads you out into the streets of Szeged. When you push it open and take the first deep breath of air, you can?t help but want to sing, ?GOOD MORNING SZEGED!?

Yep. :) I love my apartment and I love walking the streets of Szeged. I keep the singing and dance steps going by putting in my earphones and jam to local radio stations that play a wide mix of music from Hungarian rap music to Madonna to Mika ?Grace Kelly?
