Aalbourgh
On Thursday we were treated like VIP by our Danish friends. Kamilla picked us up from the airport and took us back to her apartment where we were warmly greeted by Mia and Mette (the three of them studied abroad with me when I was in Hong Kong) who cooked traditional Danish food. Scrumptious!
Then they took us on a tour of their university and the downtown area of Albourgh and treated us to hot chocolate in their student union.
After the best cup of hot chocolate that I have ever had, we went to the local supermarket and bought ingredients to make dinner later that night. My sister teased me in the market because earlier that day I had to throw away my toothpaste because it was over the 100mL limit for a carry on.
After buying fresh food we headed back to Mettes apartment to cheer on the Denmark team in handball while (drum roll please) THE GUYS COOKED! GASP!
The evening was topped with a two plus hour chat session.
This is my kind of vacation.
