TRAVEL
GASP! I rumors are true, I?m heading to Vienna, Austria this Wednesday-Thursday!
My older sister is currently in graduate school in Cambridge, England, and playing for the schools basketball team. The squad has a ?friendly match? (gotta love British lingo) against a school in Milan, Italy, this upcoming Saturday and I?m going to cheer them on! _ Goooo Light Blue! _
When I was looking up flights, I saw a Ryan Air hub out of Bratislava (which is one hour outside of Vienna) that had direct connection to Milan for the whopping cost of 0.01 euros. Even with taxes, it was a good deal. You bet I booked it!
Here is the schedule for next week:
Wednesday – Arrive in Vienna around 4pm via train and have dinner at 7 with previous WVU study abroad students + current study abroad students in Vienna (read: Eric, my blog buddy!)
Thursday -Tour the campus, get a quick preview of Vienna, then around 3 catch a train to the airport and arrive in Milan, Italy. Meet the sis, head to the hostel (unless someone has a connection in Milan we could crash with. If you do, post a comment!)
Friday- Tour Milan and meet with my friend Beatrice who studied abroad at WVU last semester and meet up with Sarah?s bball team.
Saturday- GAME DAY ?HUH- then catch a evening train to Monaco.
Sunday- Monaco (jealous?)
Monday-Train it back to Milan and catch a flight out back to Bratislava
Tuesday- Debating. Should I couch surf in Bratslavia or train it into Budapest that night and stay with a friend? I haven?t seen either cities. It?s a toss-up.
Wednesday- classes. Boooo.
