It’s a fact. CIMBA Formal Dinners are the greatest meals EVERRRRRRRR (sorry Mom!!). Haha. Nothing is better than a multi coursed italian meal, full with different wines for every course, a really good dessert… and have it all happen IN A CASTLE?! The only downside was that it was dark outside when we were there – I wish had been light so we could have seen the view off the castle. At night it seemed GEORGOUS!! Sooo.. Here was the Menu (mmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!)

First

There were cocktails and horderves (sooo good) there were so many different ones. There were little pastry things filled with Olive stuff, there were fried veggies, there were little quiches, cheese, little pieces of toast with this garlic butter/cream stuff on top. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm SOOOO GOOD!!

Primi Piatti

The first course of the meal was made up of the two pasta dishes.
The first was Risotto con asparagi ed erbette spontanee – it was a rice dish with asparagus. Mmmmm SOOO GOOD!!!!!
The second part of it was Tagliatelle al coniglio e carciofi – now when I tell you what this is you’re going to be grossed out… BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS!! It was pasta with rabbit and artichoke. It really was so good!! With this course we had a nice Prosecco wine. Molto bene!!

Secondo Piatto

The second course of the meal was Spalla di vitello al rosmarino with Patate al forno e Radicchio gratinato... in other words. Veal in a rosemary sauce, with potatoes, and cooked raddish. This meat was extremely tender and EXREMELY GOOD. Before they cut the meat they walked around with the baby cow! haha!! The meat dish was served with a typical Italian red wine.

Dessert

Cappuccino al mascarpone = heaven in a glass. It was this glass with chocolate cappuccino at the bottom and this delicious mousse ontop of it. YYYYYYYUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm. MOLTO MOLTO BENE!!! This was served with a dessert wine.

All in all- the food was awesome, the company was awesome, and the castle.. well. I’ve never eaten in a castle before- so that was REALLLLLLLLLYYYY AWESOME!!!!

I loved it and I can’t wait til the next formal dinner!!
