On Saturday (New Years Eve) I met up with Tom and had dinner with is parents which is a HUGE deal because it’s tradition that if you have bad company, it will be a bad start to your new year. EEK! I hope I didn’t mess up! After the amazing dinner we headed to the Victoria market area for a countdown. Trust me, this place was packed with people. There were times where I was literally dead locked in between people. CRAZY! I was thankful to have a local along with me in the markets because Tom was great at bargaining down some of the prices. Mom- I got you a sweet dragon puppet for your book program. After the bizarre countdown (I had my video camera good to go, looked at my watch, waited…waited…silence. Evidently there was no countdown. lol) We ended the evening at McDonalds. I returned to my dorm about 5 am and couldn’t get over how many small kids were still up. I’m convinced the Chinese don’t sleep.
