Europeans Love Their TECHNO!!
I went to my very first European Discotech last night AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
It was a club called X-So in Venice and it was a great time. A fellow Mountaineer, Katy, had her birthday yesterday, so we all went out for it. Ive always wanted to go to a European Disco so I was so excited! It was definitely different from clubs in the states. You couldnt smoke in the whole club – which makes it so much more enjoyable to us nonsmokers. They had designated smoking rooms for people who wanted to smoke, and the rest of the club was smoke free. It was such a great time and I cant wait to go back again!!!
X-SO in Venezia, Italia
There were so many different parts to this club. There was a techno room, a hip hop room, a salsa room, and there was a room where there were older people dancing like I want to say some form of tango- or something. It was awesome. There was even a part of the club where there were cars on display… European cars are so awesome!! You see some reallllly nice ones over here!
Today we went to an open air market in Crespano del Grappa. It was such a fun day! The little town is transformed every Sunday morning into a huge market. You could honestly find everything and anything youve ever wanted there. Shirts, shoes, jeans, jewelry, even a pet. There is also homemade Italian food, which was molto bene! It was great just having the chance to be immersed in Italian culture. I love how it is only about 15- 20 minute walk from our campus… every Sunday that I’m here on campus I’m going to Crespano!!

hi my name is joe, im coming over there for the summer program and i know i cannot live without my cellphone...what is the easiest and cheapest way to get a phone that works there...should i buy one there and get a plan or should i rent one?? thank you
Hi...my boyfriend and I are traveling to Italy this summer. He's in the same program you are with CIMBA and is doing the graduate level courses. We are going to be doing the same thing you are...traveling on the weekends. Do you have a rail pass or are you buying point to point tickets? Do you think a rail pass is a good investment? We're thinking we may get one just for Italy, since he'll be in school all week. Is it easier to do the rail pass or to just buy point to point tickets at the train stations? I would appreciate any help you can give! Sarah Peard
Well, it depends on where you will be going. To Venice it costs like 4 euro to get there. Florence I believe is 35 and Rome is 50. I don’t know how much rail passes cost because I did not buy one- Overall I wouldn’t buy one because you can get cheap flights on ryanair or other low cost carriers over there. If you search on www.skyscanner.com you can find really good deals. But on getting one for Italy it’s a tough call. Based on the prices I gave you you’ll have to decided.
