For Valentines Day my roommate came back from classes and found flowers, chocolates, and a card from Mr. Prince Charming himself. Suddenly she couldn’t go to Ladies Night Out with us. lol Cupid was killing my dinner reservations. :)
Valentines Day is actually a HUGE deal in Hong Kong. I’d even venture to say this holiday has popularized more in Hong Kong than in America (BUT it’s evidently not a big deal in mainland China). To celebrate the evening a group of locals and exchange students had a ‘Girls Night Out’ and headed to Gold Coast to have dinner at a Mediterranean style restaurant. We ordered/shared lamb, steak, veggies, and this ultra fancy heart shaped dessert. After dinner we walked along the beach and passed couples having a picnic under candlelight (barf).
