I couldn’t believe it, Day 2 was even better!

At Lingnan they have a well run buddy/mentoring program where they tag team you with a local student to help the adjustment. The best part was my buddy is Tom aka “killer” who studied abroad at WVU last semester.

Tom, Javier (from Mexico), Xiesiming (from mainland China), Heidi (another local/buddy) and I toured major parts of Hong Kong from 9:30am-6:30pm. It was a long and very memoriable day.

But the best was yet to come…

Tom invited me to his dads birthday party later that night. You bet I accepted the invitation! We had the birthday bash at Pizza Hut (which btw is much fancier then in the USA). Tom looks exactly like his dad! I was so thankful for the opportunity to meet his family and be part of the Chinese family gathering.
