Bio: Kellen McNutt
Hallo!
I am Kellen McNutt and I am a Senior in Agricultural & Extension Education. I grew up on my family’s farm in Roane County, WV. This is where my love for agriculture began and led me to the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Consumer Sciences.
I have an older brother, Patrick, who graduated from WVU in Ag. Business and is getting his master’s at the University of Kentucky. I also have an older sister, Deana, who is married with two BEAUTIFUL little girls, Alaina & Brooke. My parents, Don & Pat McNutt, actually met and married in Germany during the Vietnam War. So they are well aware of living overseas and are nervously excited for me to venture abroad.
I will be studying abroad in Vienna, Austria, for the 2008-09 school year at BOKU. Some of my course work will include International Agriculture, Sustainable Agriculture, Agriculture & Food Policy, Viticulture, and of course German! I have taken German 101 this summer and hopefully the “full immersion” experience in Austria will bode well for further learning German. I am SUPER excited to be traveling to Austria!!!
