Bio: Eric Jaeschke

Guten tag!

I am Eric Jaeschke and a senior Forest Resource Management major at WVU. I am from Herndon, Virginia, which is right outside of Washington, D.C. The forests and outdoor recreation brought me to study in wild and wonderful West Virginia.

In the spring of 2008, I will be taking courses in high-mountain fire ecology, forest economics, forest management in mountainous areas, and biodiversity and conservation of mountain forests at the University of Applied Life Sciences and Natural Resources (BOKU) in Vienna, Austria.

My stay in Austria will be my first time to Europe, giving me a nice excuse to travel, especially to the Alps! I cannot wait to explore the skiing and mountain climbing opportunities that exist there.

I know I will miss everyone in the states immensely. This blog will be a great opportunity to keep in touch with everyone, including my family, girlfriend, friends, classmates, professors and anyone else who happens upon my blog. Don?t hesitate to leave a message. It will be refreshing to hear from home!

Check out all of my posts here.
